Ayman Kafel survived civil wars in Africa and Lebanon before immigrating to the United States in 1988. After witnessing the horrors of September 11, 2001, Ayman enlisted in the Army National Guard and deployed to Iraq in 2005. While there, he conducted over 30,000 miles of combat patrols and military missions. He coordinated and worked with various units in the Army due to his ability to speak Arabic.

In October of 2007, Ayman became a police officer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He began his career at the MBTA Transit Police Department and then, in 2011, transferred to the Attleboro Police Department.

Throughout the course of his career, he has held several positions at the police department. He was in the uniform patrol division, a plain-clothes unit, a detective, a DEA task force officer, DEA SRT Operator and assistant team leader, and Metro-SWAT Operator.

He has led and has been involved in many complex investigations as well as operations that captured, arrested, and prosecuted many high-level criminals. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in November of 2022.

He is currently a Patrol Division Sergeant on the day shift.

He is a writer for The Havok Journal and has published over 100 articles with topics ranging from issues in Law Enforcement, his time in Iraq and the military, and issues with PTSD within the law enforcement community.

Many of his articles have been published in The Epoch Times.

He was recently featured on BBC Arabic to talk about his experiences in Iraq.
